Summer

For some reason I had a vision in my head of a nice relaxing summer, but that is definitely not coming to fruition. It's been a very stressful one for a lot of reasons but I am hoping things will start to turn around soon. It is particularly interesting that my job is both a great source of stress and simultaneously the thing that is keeping me sane. I recently got promoted, which I'm thrilled about, but it also means a lot more hours and responsibility and angry customers being directed towards me. It is certainly a lesson in patience and humility. I'm lucky I have so much experience dog training, I'm not sure how well I could handle it otherwise. 

Since I almost exclusively work nights, my days are usually free. Sometimes it's nice but typically it gets pretty lonely. I've been making an afghan from hexagons.



The dogs are great company though. I'm not sure why it's so relaxing and fun to just watch them run around and splash in streams. I do my fair share of splashing too of course. It's the only way to get good dogs-in-streams photos.







They are good dogs. They help make it a good summer.
