This was a FUN trial. Some awesome courses and a very competitive environment, but incredibly relaxed and friendly at the same time, something I love about USDAA. On the whole I find USDAA to be a lot more fun. We get to run more, the courses are more interesting, and it seems like overall it's a more competitive but less stuck-up atmosphere from the shows I've been to.

Panic really did do great all weekend, I was very proud of how he handled all the courses, especially from team on Friday-they were TOUGH! Especially jumpers, which was had a lot of international flair and was a blast to run. I will definitely look out for this judge, Dave Hanson, again. His courses were just fantastic. I wanted to post the course map because it is hard to tell from the video just how hard some of the angles are on this course.

Unfortunately our team did not qualify, but just considering some of the teams out there and the fact that we were very close to the cut off, I was actually impressed with how close our greeny team came to Qing. We've got one more chance at team in August.

As for regular classes we ran Standard, Gamblers Saturday and Standard and Pairs Sunday. Panic dropped a bar in Saturday's standard but had a nice Gamblers run and a Q. He Q'd in standard on Sunday and had a great pairs half, unfortunately our partner had an offcourse. He needs one more standard and a pairs leg for our AD.

Panic did great in the tournaments this weekend. Saturday's Steeplechase was fantastic and a ton of fun, he took second in a HIGHLY competitive class, I couldn't believe it! After our run I was thrilled but I honestly didn't even think it was fast enough to Q, Panic just doesn't seem THAT fast to me. Round 2 was also fantastic, and he also placed second, right behind Terry Smorch and Presto. How cool is that! Panic earned himself 27 bucks on that run. The best part is that I can definitely see room for improvement there, he had one really wide turn after a poorly timed and unplanned front cross on my part. Who knew Panic could keep up with the big dogs? He's such a good boy. We didn't Q in Grand Prix after a bar and an offcourse, and then silliness at the end when Panic didn't read a rear cross and the ran OUT of the ring to the water hose!! And that's why we never do rear crosses. :P Bad dog!! Oh, Panic. ;)

Our next show is August first. Until then we are going to relax and go on VACATION! We're living the high life now.
