1. Dogs should NEVER NEVER be allowed to bark at an agility trial.

2. If you run your border collie at 26", it means that you are arrogant and think your dog is world-class caliber.

3. Blind crosses are confusing and fancy maneuvers that you should never use.

But for serious, I'm a little bit sick physically and mentally. I have total agility burn out for sure. School starting and the fact that I now only have one agility related activity free night a week is leaving me exhausted. Plus I'm just sick in general--I've got a horrible cold. It seems like I ALWAYS get sick during this show! I left school early today.

I didn't enjoy trialing this weekend as much as a should--and if I'm not enjoying it why am I doing it? I didn't give 100% and so neither did Panic. Definitely not our best weekend, but Panic is giving me as much as I'm giving him, which I AM happy about. I only showed 2 out of three days and the second day was much better than the first. Although we still had mistakes they were more inline with the type of silly baby mistakes I think we SHOULD be having rather than ridiculous mistakes due to my lack of caring.

After all the pressure of Nationals, I think we'll be taking a break from agility, trials and classes alike. At least for a few months. There is a USDAA show New Year's weekend that I would like to do, I think that will leave us a good break before then.

On the bright side, Maxie was REALLY CUTE all weekend. Big surprise there! I already shared her Standard run from Saturday, and here is her run from yesterday, her NA!!!! This is Maxie's first title EVER, and it was seriously one of the most exciting moments in...my life? Yeah, probably. It is a little bittersweet, as I don't think she'll be running for much longer. I probably won't move her into Open, and after she gets her NAJ we'll probably go to preferred anyway and then just stay in Novice P until her "retirement". It is crazy to me that in all her ten years I've never put any titles on her. She is one Q away from her U-CD (something I will never go after) and one Q away from her P1 Jumpers title. I wonder how far she could have gotten if I had known about USDAA earlier or if AKC had allowed mix breeds? I think she could have been an awesome little agility dog in her prime.

And for good measure, Panic's standard run Monday (first part didn't get filmed):

And his JWW run. My favorite run of the weekend. (With a GASP-OMG-BLASPHOMY blind cross)
