Pawsitive Partners USDAA
Feb. 11th, 2011 08:18 pmTomorrow the whole "family" is heading up to Pawsitive Partners in Indy for a USDAA show. It'll be the first FULL trial I've done since, well, Nationals. I've done two one-day shows over the past few months but nothing more than that. I'm sure I'll be exhausted since I entered Panic in everything plus I'm running Maxie a few times. That'll end up to at least 10 runs for the weekend.
I know I'll have a ton of fun at this show. I have confidence in me and Panic's abilities and as long as I keep my head on straight I know we'll do well. Either way we're going to have a ton of fun, I've just been having so much FUN with Panic lately and that is definitely translating into our agility performance. Of course I've always had fun running agility, but it was also always edged with seriousness and methodology when approaching runs, simply because I thought Panic wouldn't do well otherwise. I had a very specific pre-run routine, tried to keep Panic very calm and quiet before entering the ring, tried to remain calm and confident while running, etc. Now I just go with the flow, play with Panic and get him excited as much as I can before we enter the ring, and just go out there and run!
I've been trying to proof Panic's stay in a bow and I might try to start him out like that this weekend-although he is always SO serious in the ring I doubt he'll do it. In any case I think it would be incredibly adorable and would probably alleviate a lot of stress on both of our parts as I lead out (sitting is absolutely PAINFUL for him!!)

Leading out and looking back at this, wouldn't all your seriousness and apprehensiveness melt away? SO FREAKIN CUTE.

His happiness is absolutely infectious.

Oh my gosh sticks are so much fun.

The real star of the show after a triumphant hole digging session.

All three superstars. Toby looking exceptionally intelligent.
