Louisville Cluster
Mar. 21st, 2011 03:18 pmI had a lot of fun this weekend. Lots of friends, hanging out, fun courses, and great dogs. I was at ClickerExpo during this show last year, so Panic and I were still in novice when we last (and first) showed there. I only entered ISC Friday, but everything the other two days, so that I could still go to school. In reality I could have gone to school and entered jww and standard, they hadn't run 26" in either when I got there.
In any case Panic was a super star and I am a very proud of him--and me. I think I did a pretty okay job of handling, except for in ISC jumpers where I sent him off course and then got totally lost and confused. It was not even a hard course at all. Fun, but not what I would imagine as international. Standard was A BLAST, loved it and it really made me run. Panic handled the challenges very well. ISC runs: www.youtube.com/watch
Saturday was really our time to shine, I felt Panic and I were totally in sync for both runs, which earned us a Q and first place each. Sunday Standard was...forgettable. We definitely were NOT in sync for any part of the run, and he majorly blew his teeter (which I also thought he blew Saturday, but it was not called). Thinking about reinstating his 2o2o for awhile. Jumpers was a course that I did not think we would get through at all, lots and lots of traps and not a lot of ways to show much motion. Amazing he handled it great, but popped out of the weaves at the fourth pole. Still don't know why, it's a total mystery to me. People were cheering during that run, but they were also cheering during ISC and he didn't have a problem then. Very weird.
Overall it was a great weekend, even with the super long days, and I'm very proud of my "wonder boy" :)
