Inspired by Katie, I went through my facebook and deleting people that I don't talk to or will never talk to, or people I have to think about for a few seconds to figure out who they actually are. I didn't have very many friends to begin with, about 230 (did a little bit of weeding awhile ago), but nevertheless I weaned it down to 150 without too much difficulty. It was amazing how many people that I couldn't figure out who exactly they were, particularly young agility people that seem to friend everyone but never talk to them. (I actually went up to one said person the first time I saw them at an agility trial to introduce myself, they had no idea who I was and didn't want anything to do with me...) But most people I deleted were people I go to school with and have never spoken to in my life. I know who these people are and they know who I am, but if we have never talked to one another and don't intend on doing so should we be friends? I don't think so. Still a lot of what I would call "questionable" people, but at least most everyone is now someone that I either talk to regularly or that I at least regularly interact with if they live far away.

Still might weed more people out. At first I felt kind of bad, but its just facebook and facebook doesn't matter. If you DO want to be my friend, great, but actual be my friend! Interact with me! Don't just be my "friend" on facebook.
