Karen Holik and me missing Panic
Jun. 20th, 2012 05:50 pmI'm sad that I didn't get to participate (or audit) more of this seminar. Louisville is not a big agility city so we don't often have this kind of opportunity. Stupid things like work get in the way, so I was only able to do the "Skills and Drills" seminar yesterday morning.
I really really like Karen. Just her entire attitude and the way she teaches and the things she puts emphasis on (like playing and having FUN doing agility, how novel!) are great. I'd work with her again in a heartbeat. Most of the things we worked on were skills that Panic and already had (who knew that we had "skills" at all?) so I didn't get a lot of ground-breaking feedback but I definitely got some things that we can fine tune. We worked mostly on skills involved cueing turns most effectively, which is very very important. And 270s. Which I HATE. So it was nice to work on. She is just a super cool lady and incredibly down to earth. Love it!
I should have videoed, but I didn't. I don't really have much else to say. Good seminar.
I dropped Panic off at my friend's house earlier today. Not having him in the house is SO weird. I won't see him until Saturday at the show. Maxie and Toby seem a little bit freaked out by his missing presence. I am overly worried about him--I know he's totally fine and in more than capable hands. My friend said he was relaxing in their pool earlier and was now soundly asleep. He's a good boy.
