We got home from Perry a bit before 4AM Saturday night. Or Sunday morning I guess. The last hour was tough, but I felt pretty good the rest of the time thanks to a giant iced coffee, audiobooks, and occasional interludes of blasting Usher (guilty pleasure, don't tell anyone).

Aside from occasionally feeling out of place in an agility crowd I wasn't familiar with, I really enjoyed myself at this show. Because the cool thing about not really knowing anybody is that you get to meet so many awesome people! Like Sarah! She's awesome! And so are her dogs! I mean how awesome is Kate? Very awesome is the answer. And so is Panic. I just wanted to throw that in there so the following pictures are relevant.

And speaking of awesome it was of course awesome to see and room with Tori and Rev, eat delicious breakfast foods (which I in no way forced anyone to eat ;) , see The Amazing Spider-Man (very good by the way) in a borderline-sketchy mall, and inhale large amounts of popcorn.

Besides all of that we actually did do agility. Of the four days we showed, Panic and I picked up three QQs! Sweet!
We had a double NQ Wednesday, but on Thursday after Qing in jumpers in the morning I said--out loud: "I really want to double Q today."  Yeah, I can honestly say I have never said that before. For real. Not that I haven't wanted to QQ, but I've never...said so. And honestly, I think saying it made all the difference for me.

I do believe I have an issue voicing my goals. Instead of making things concrete I say or think things like "It would be nice for this to happen" or "I'm sort of going to try doing this but it's no big deal if it doesn't happen." Sometime after tryouts I thought to myself "It would be cool to qualify for Nationals." That's as far as the thought went. I wasn't going to put any effort into it, it was either going to happen or it wasn't and it didn't matter either way. I wasn't even sure if I'd be able to go even if I did qualify because of school.

But I will say it now--I want to qualify for Nationals! After our streak in Perry we only need one more QQ and a few points. And Nationals just so happens to fall during my spring break. Alright, let's get this done!

I'm a pretty huge fan of live music. I got to catch the last day of the Forecastle Festival yesterday. I really wish I could have gone all three days, the lineup was absolutely fantastic all weekend! Luckily I did get to catch, among a few others, Deer Tick, Neko Case, and most excitingly, Wilco!!!  And Wilco was ridiculously amazing. They seriously put on an incredibly live show.

Yep, it was great. Really cool to have such a nice up-and-coming music fest here in Louisville. I do like my city a lot.
