This certainly isn't everything I've been up to here, but I have been spending an absurd amount of time in the printmaking studio lately. It is definitely my most time consuming class. Lately we've been working with zinc plates, such a meticulous (and dangerous!) process. 

I don't usually like to share any of artsy stuff with people, but since I don't have any cute dog pictures as of late I might as well. I have a LOT of these but I'll refrain from showing them all. 

This is a hardground line etching. Yes it is a monster about to eat a child reading a book. DSC_0002

This is a softground etching which allows you to press textures into the plate. I did a lot of these. I was going to do something a bit more complex but I just loved the detail I could get out of leaves and other natural sources. Every single little vein is etching in. Very cool in my opinion.
