My latest sculpture project was a sewn "body extension". This is mine.

I think it's pretty hilarious. My whole class came up with some pretty awesome (and bizarre) things. I felt like we should be in some sort of bizarre parade. I love college.

Wow cool. Is this a puppetry class?

Just a sculpture class, but my professor wants to introduce us to as many different methods and materials as possible. This project definitely went the puppetry route for me but other people did more clothing-like projects.

Loved the colours you picked. So carny.

Hey I made something awful the other day. It was by request from someone else. They gave me a brief of what they wanted and I knew it wasn't my thing and oh god, I am so embarrassed. Apparently they loved it! I just don't want my name associated with it.

I hope you haven't seen it on FB. I was most worried you would see it and unfriend me for Hideousness to Humanity.

Ha, thanks. It was a ton of fun to make. Now the question is what the heck am I supposed to do with it now?

It's ok Penny. I won't look.
I quite often make things that I think are hideous that other people love.

Too bad you're so far from Portland, that sort of thing goes over BIG here.

Check these guys out:

LOVE it, thanks! Love the polar bears and the paper bag thing, so great.

These guys were my inspiration, they did dinosaur puppetry for the Radiolab show and I fell in love.

Man, puppetry has come such a VERY long way since the days of Sesame Street. Amazing.
