I'm actually really trying to enter a show in December.

All the AKC shows around me do a random draw. I never seem to make it through that draw, and I don't want to have to go more than 2 or so hours trying to find a show. If I even wanted to attempt to qualify for AKC nationals I don't even see how I'd get into enough shows without going ridiculously far away. But seriously those requirements...

Money money money.

Random draws eh? Wonder how that stops being "friends I know got me in" and guarantees "random" But... that's not your point.
Yes! money! Sounds like they have more agility peeps than they know what to do with. So if you started your own club that money might come YOUR way... But who wants to do that? *not me, no way...*

Starting an AKC club ain't that easy... we are lucky around here, there are lots of areas of the country that have to go through the random draw.

We have THREE local clubs, one of which hasn't really gotten their feet off the ground. Luckily they don't do random draw or just don't need to, but we still only have 3 local shows a year. There's the issue of only being able to have six trial days per year per club--another way to grab more money.
