Ah, autumn.
Oct. 20th, 2009 03:10 pmI just love fall, it is by far my favorite season. I don't however like being sick, and I have been for the past couple of days. I didn't go to school yesterday or today, and I really can't afford to miss another day. I did manage to get myself to agility class last night. No matter how awful I feel I can always suck it up to play agility! (Though running around in this weather was probably not the best idea...) Even though I feel pretty crappy and stressing out at the anticipation of tons of make-up work, I've still been enjoying the not being at school part. I've been curled up on the couch watching The Big Bang Theory, a show I've never seen before but decided to check out after seeing a clip involving operant conditioning. Now I'm in love with it and I'm proud (or ashamed?) to say I get pretty much all the science jokes...I'm such a nerd!
Toby has been curling up (as much as a 60 pound golden can) at my feet. Maxie joined in for a little while as well. None of my dogs are "snuggley" so that was nice. Sometimes I want a big slab of a dog draped across my legs! Panic is the least affectionate of all my dogs. I try to get him to sleep with me but he wants his "space" and if I move a milimeter he growls and gets off the bed! Sheesh! I have to savor the very fleeting affection he dishes out on those rare occasions. He is not a dog that enjoys being touched at all, unless it's when you smack him around while playing tug. Another reason I want a puppy; I've never had a cuddly dog!
So even though I've been under the weather I'm trying to enjoy the onslaught of autumn that has just hit us. Cool weather and beautiful leaves have exploded all of a sudden (only after nearly a straight week of gross rainy weather) and I love it! Perfect opportunity for pretty pictures of leaves, which I never tire of! I'll spare you all the mass amounts of leaf pictures and just settle for this one.

And of course the dogs have a blast running around in this weather...

Toby is the master of getting ridiculously dirty in a short amount of time. It is truly amazing, I don't know how he does it.

Maxie is the master of Being Sad, especially when she realizes that it is kind of wet outside.

And Panic of course is the master of looking devilishly handsome.

The changing leaves really compliment his eyes!
