I thought it was going to be hard going back to agility after tryouts, and I was correct. But I also thought--hoped--I could hold on to some of that excitement and enthusiasm and drive that I had. I am not having any such luck. I am not sure that drive and enthusiasm are things you can force on yourself. I AM having a good time, but at the same time I just really don't care how we do, which is not a good way to do well. It is honestly very confusing for me and I don't know how to deal with how I am feeling about agility.

Anyway, so far for the weekend we have one jumpers Q. It was an incredibly easy course which just you basically just had to sprint through. Not particularly interesting, but incredibly fun!

And our standard run in which he misses the dogwalk by a mile.

It doesn't look like your lack of enthusiasm is affecting your handling - your Standard run was really nice! And you both looked like you were having fun in JWW :) You basically had a QQ except for the dogwalk. I would be really excited about that performance.

You need the local shows to get to Nationals and Tryouts -- thinking about that helps me stay focused.

Thank you! I am excited about how we are doing, and I am having fun, there is just something missing that I can't explain or pinpoint.
